Meagan Shinbashi, a researcher in Dr. Jeffrey Wine’s Cystic Fibrosis Research Laboratory at Stanford, demonstrates the utility of sweat tests in providing a near-linear readout of CFTR function. Meagan explains the importance of sweat tests in both a historical context as well as the future of these tests in monitoring the effectiveness of new treatments such as Triple Combination therapies and CRISPR Cas-9. Meagan further discusses how sweat tests can potentially be of use for patients with rare mutations in years to come.
